I have heard of the compact bulbs affecting the lizards eyes but i never hav had a problem with it A combonation of a black light and a tri-phospher bulb is apparently supposed to produce the closest thing to natural sunlight from what I have heard.Also if you take the glass cover off the halogen downlights they produce a decient amount of UV, but they get hot so you just have to workout a good way of fixing them

Shinglebacks start at about $200ish and work there way up to around $600 for the mor colourful ones Exotic animals are illegal over there, but it doesnt mean they arnt in private collections, quite regulary boas chamelians ect come up, havnt heard of any tortises though Red Ears sliders have adapted to waterways of the east coast of oz but you still cant keep them

  8. nope just swabed for explosives lol Cheap compared to here,just depends where you go can pick up a nice coloured beardy for about 60-80bux , Wheeleri are going for about 4-5 thousand

What locality sre the shingles do you know?Are they a pair because i wouldnt mind buying some babys off him when im over there lol I always thought that the white beard frillies that my dads got were the nicest looking but that just toped the cake,. Yea thought they were mertins, my dad got one overthere not to long ago but i only saw it quickly coming out foor a feed in winter
  17. I use the shavings, they love burrying themselves in it Plus I just pick out the poo whenever they go so it rarley needs a clean, he just uses one corner as the toilet so it makes it easy :lol:

  22. lol nah I wish, The parents are about 4.5 foot ish but only as thick as your thumb if that I dont really have any good photos of them as they are nocturnal (click to enlarge) And yes snake kid they do look abit like womas with big funny eyes , hopfully they should colour up like their panents soon
  23. About 2 months ago my dad found one of his female night tiger (Boiga fusca) laying her eggs Then about 8 weeks later they have started hatching Still have 5 more eggs out of that batch to hatch then another batch due in 2 weeks
