Never heard of them. Have been trying to get Exo Terra pellets but Maf wont let them import them. Mine have not been that keen on the veges either but they love chickweed tips

Hi. Rockwork can you tell me what the pellets are that are mixed in with the vegetables.

Yes those bulbs supply you with the uv but they do not supply heat. Exo terra recomend using basking lamps for the heat and of course these will not be allowed as they are incandessant bulbs. You may have to go to something like ceramic heat emitters which if availble may be $20-$30 each.

Hi. Anyone out there using standard spotlights and bulbs for light and heating may want to start stocking up or looking for alternatives. The Government has anounced that all incandescant (non-energy saving) bulbs will be no longer imported as of this time next year.

This issue covers a wide range of creatures. I keep fancy finches as well as lizards etc. Of the list of these birds that were available in New Zealand 15 years ago less than half of them are still in the country and more than half of those are on the verge of disappearing within the next five years and of course you cannot import any more.

Thanks for your tip Sarah. Have done so and much better although titles do not seem to have come through First one was afriends iguana that was destroyed by MAF Second one was turtle tower, 2 reeves turtles Third one is lizard sandwich, pair of eastern bearded dragons (didnt eat sandwich) Fourth one is a newt huddle, Both Japanese and chinese red bellied newts, taken a couple of years ago.

Hi from Gisborne. New to this forum. Have a variety of beasties that fit in well here. These are my kids now , old ones have left home for Uni. I have 2 pair each of japanese and chinese firebellied newts, 2 reeves turtles sharing a tank with an ornate bichir, a young pair of eastern bearded dragons and a large tropical fish tank. Looking forward to helping and and being helped with problems and imformation in the future.
