    Hi I'm new here

Hi Hi Hi Very encouaging to see another younger member,as they are the future. In reply to earlier post, Fancy calling a NZ Falcon "Ozzy" Poor bird will get a complex Is there an Auuustraaalian working there, and taking the micky out of us kiwi's Welcome again
  4. What a great topic & such interesting posts from such awide range of people Its amusing to see how the $$$ come up again & again, there will always be people with more money than you have, people who can afford the rare, & who wont look after them or who will & be successful at breeding them.My hat goes off to all successful fish keepers who breed fish wether guppies, platys, arawanna's or whatever. There must be thousands & thousands of $ of tropical & coldwater fish sold in NZ every day which are all dead within a week, due to poor knowlege etc etc.The ability of the internet & good forums( Like this great NZ one) must be hugely benefical to fishkeeping in the long term. How boring fishkeeping was when you only saw the fish in your local store,or had to look through old books from the library. This forum & trade me & other sites are great for Fiskeepers ,& everyone whatever their hobbies/Interests are.We are much more aware whats available and relative prices so we arn't been grossly ripped off. Some people make a living out of their hobbies, some have fish/pet shops to make $ to pay thier bills ,keep the family fed or whatever.Everyone is different, thier interests & needs are different Fishkeeping is not for everyone, but for those of us who get great enjoyment from it, & who sometimes throw alot of $ at it, keep on keeping on Some people probably think Zebra plc's dont even exist & are colored in Just thought i'd throw my pennies worth in
  5. Looks good in the photo's,Bet its much better in reality.Would like to come & see it but think you may be too far away for a quick trip to check it out.Perhaps the wife might want to come on a shopping trip? Pity more people with ponds dont have streams running into them as more natural & you can do alot with them, Safer for kids to play & fall into as well. Keep up the great work
  6. Hi Suggest you try Blue Rams Seem to sell well Regards Ian
  7. If we could get guppy's of this quality & these colours & see retail or display tanks of them then there would be a great upsurge in people wanting to get into fishkeeping, perhaps with smaller tanks & "pretty" fish & then progress into multiple tanks & eventually into the domain of monster tanks & "real" fish - our fishy friends who grow to 30 cm minimum. Mind you a 600-800 lire tank with several hundred of these quality guppies would be something to behold.
  8. Off the topic i know but "tou-che" Living Art The subtle humour on this topic & site in general is just tooo much
  9. Hi Try using an API product called AlgaeFix I have used this sucessfully on Green water problems, which tend to be little more difficult to slove than Green sides on your fish tank Should be readily available from LFS for about $11-12 for small 37ml bottle Good luck
