i used to be a smoker but the cost of supplying myself and alot of the time others as well to the point i was buying two 50g a week it got really expensive and it also took a toll on me mentally if i didn't have a ciggy and couldn't bum one of any one i would go nuts at the time i was also buying and supplying for younger family members so when i quit i also stopped supplying and buying ciggys for any one under 18 my parents have been long time smokers since they were youngsters and there health is terrible all my bothers and my sister have been smokers since they were young and funny enough we all got each other into smoking now we try and tell each other to quit to date quitting was one of the hardest thing I've had to do but also one the most rewarding

sadly on my second compaq laptop safe to say they are crap and you get what you pay for went for the cheapest they had in stock both times first time was a impulse buy second time needed a replacement in a hurry and not enough cash bad move have to upgrade again soon as this one got dropped now has a ink mark on the screen next time will go for biggest hard drive as im a huge movie music gaming and internet fan so i would like a faster computer also debating weather to go back to desktop

welcome reptor i find most people on here willing to offer friendly helpful advice some even have a sense of humor hopefully by taking the first step into the light a mrs herman and many many other species will be found and a breeding program so to speak can begin and hopefully stop the hermans tortoise and many more animals from being another sad statistic and something we can only dream about in new zealand question: to save a species in new zealand especially one so hard to find would it be better to let the species go or heavily in breed to keep the species alive in new zealand?

im eclectic but i cannot stand opera and instrumentals other than that listen to anything at the moment my favorite genres is rap hiphop and rnb my favorite artist is 2pac or usher

bk and kfc taupo are horrible there better at other locations around nz mcd's is better here than the others but my all time fave is chelseas chicken yummmy

would it be better to remove the plant? so they spend more time in the water there are lots of daphnia in the water and a few fruit flies on the plant and island not a lot thought accidentally opened he package the wrong way and squashed most of the fruit flies so the rest are keepers till they produce more to feed out they have sopped climbing the wall now and just chill out on the island or plant but still hesitant to venture into the water and sit in there to eat

call her gorgeous princess or honey lol coz she's going to grow up to be all those things

yp its not only white albino axolotls a lot of species will disappear from nz and as the laws get tougher it gets harder and harder then all of a sudden we have nothing and then for some the only way to see a particular species is on tv pictures or fly half way around the world when all it would take is a little communication and dedication to build up the numbers of reptiles amphibians and fish it'll be a sad day when that happens so if you happen to have a special species lurking in your tank/s or terrarium/s help the species survive in nz by participating in a breeding program so to speak or even start a breeding program

hi all just wanted to ask all white albino axolotl owners to make them selfs known to each other and to come together and produce more white albino axolotls i have been on my hunt for one or two white albino axolotls since late last year and i thank those who have been messaging about sightings ect i have been told so and so has one and so and so has one ect these animals are not allowed to be brought into the country so once there gone there gone when all it would take is a few months together and they could boost the population ten fold in a year i hear this is the case for many species in nz just an opinion and observation not to offend any one cheers DG

yip its one of them floating islands but because the water is so shallow it doesn't float so thats all good

thanks for that L.A by the way have moved them out of the 4ft tank and into the 40cm one with say an inch or two of water the bigger ones can walk with there heads just out of water and the little ones just under the water and have there fake plant in there so they can get out of the water easily and am now feeding them blood worms and white worm seems like there okay but now they hang out on the wall i change the water every day as there is no filter to shallow but they don't freak out like they used to when the water was deep i only made the move two days ago so hopefully they settle down like the photo to

with Japanese and Chinese newts when they breed are they like axolotls were the male deposits spermetaphores around the place and female passes over it fertilizing the eggs? or are they different cheers DG

on the subject of tadpoles if i get some from lfs and grow them out how long before they start producing tadpoles of there own? and is there any way to tell male from female? as i would like to have another live food source for my axolotls cheers DG

its a wait and see game were going up to whangarei on the 30th july till the 2nd or 3rd of august for my nephews 5th bday so i wana take them there before we come back dont get to see them that often and ive always wanted to go so may as well make the most of the trip

cheers for that i have a 4ft tank thats only 30cm deep and 30cm wide so a very skinny and not tall enough tank but it suits my newts so its ok still havnt got around to converting it to a aquatic set up yet

wouldn't mind getting my first betta any idea on a ideal tank size for one male and one or two females as a comfortable permanent home cheers in advance DG
