  1. You are unlikely to be able to restore its immunity whilst it is in the main tank, because it is already re-infecting itself despite the good work you have done keeping the water spot on. Put it into the hospital tank so you can clear your main tank of infection by removing the host, and also target the BT specifically for treatment.
  2. JohnCredit - the easy way to buy
  3. AHA! You have just explained the mysterious grit that appears on my rock from time to time!
  4. Slower the better - just take half a bucket of water out in one advert break, then replace it with freshwater in the next - keep going until you are done
  5. I've done similar in freshwater tanks by doing massive daily water changes to remove the tomites - works well (although is labour intensive, to say the least)
  6. Guppies are also very easy to breed - you could grow your own, perhaps.
  7. I have a cycled portable 80 litre marine hospital tank you are welcome to borrow today if you wish - I'll PM you my phone number (although moving the fish might cause more stress)
  8. The problem is that they cost A LOT in terms of time and money to raise properly - most people simply won't pay what it actually costs, let alone a retail margin on top - that's why a lot of people just don't bother raising the fry.

    * cue sound of everyone rushing out to buy more t5's *
  10. Did anything find its way to your place from the last shipment?
  11. Just be careful of your local Council's bylaws - some require a full fencing for ponds more than a few inches deep.
  12. Judging by your signature I think it will be a challenge to breed your turtles...
  13. Er... Yes, Soldier Boy...
  14. Compromise - get an Asian Wife
  15. Yes, it is big enough provided you set it up appropriately, but bear in mind that marine tanks need to be kept at a near constant temperature and salinity to do well, and the smaller the tank, the harder that is to do.

I wonder how much of the colour shift is due to the algorithms that digital cameras use - a lot of them over saturate colours and wind contrast up - plus the fewer tones / dither an image has, the smaller the file, so perhaps some colours get pumped up in the compression process too - But sometimes you have to see a coral to believe just how colourful they are.
  18. The bristles can vary in size based upon a number of things, but the usual one is whether or not they are sexually mature and 'on for it'. Dominant males will have large bistles, and lots of them, subordinate and immature males will have shorter, smaller bristles. Females can still have bristles, but they are much finer by comparison to both dominant and subordinate males.
  19. Yep, I'm afraid most of the rams imported in the last couple of years are dodgy - a lot die within a year after failing to grow.
  20. So long as the fin rays are intact at the base (where they join the body) the fins will regrow - have you considered cutting the mass out? If you want to, I'll PM you instructions (I don't want everyone taking to their fish with a knife)
  21. Yea, that's what worries me :-?
