I had the cf1200 set up yesterday in my 3ft tank with water flowing out from spraybar to the back glass of the tank, which created a waterfall sort of effect. My year-old turtles watched me while I installed the bits & pieces. They panicked at first when water started BLOWING and raced to the other side of the tank .... but soon out of curiousity, they swam back to the "waterfall" to check out what's going on...I think they've never seen bubbles, they started to bite the little bubbles the water flow has created in the water and managed to snap one or two. It was just so funny seeing them going at the bubbles and left with heaps of tiny bubbles on their cheek and neck...which they tried to scrap off with their claws :lol: :lol: :lol: You guys got any funny little moments of your turtles?

don't think they need too much light, they are very low maintenance...here's what their eggs look like! hope it helps... 8)

as much as they want to my turtles don't disappear... :lol: :lol: :lol: they always race into water from the ramp when we get close.. :lol:

what about fine wool? wouldn't it block water flow considering the amount of mess turtle makes and bacteria growth on it?

Just got a Aqua one cf1200 for my 3ft turtle tank from PetPlanet, I've been having troubles setting media order, included media in the filter are: bioballs, ceramic noodles, course sponge (blue), fine sponge (black), filter wool. some people suggested order should be from 1. bottom bioballs, 2. course sponge then noodles, 3.fine sponge then wool. but is this ok with turtles? how do you guys set yours? Any help appreciated!!!

but whenever they are removed from the tank, they are always too depressed/stressed to eat anything, all they would do is either paddling or not moving at all! :roll:

hi guys, need some help with lighting.. I got a 3ft turtle tank with gravel on the ramp and bottom, its really dark even with all the room lights off. some help please.....my 2 young turtles will live with some convicts and I want the tank to look brighter and prettier. what sort of lighting do you use? :bounce:

Cycle should put off the smell a little bit if you add a cap/L every week.

I had the same situation before when the turtles were fed too much, you may want to try to hand feed them? I do with mine and water gets less messy 'cos you'll know if they are full.
