It looks great - really healthy looking tank.

Time of year also makes a difference. There's often more choice in summer when plants can be started immersed.

Does it look yellowish or is it just the photo? Maybe look at measuring your macro's? It could be micro's - but I'd have thought the flourish would take care of that.

Yeah its best to borrow/hire a car to get to the fish shops in Auckland. There aren't any in the central city. But you could always take one of the hop on/off tourist buses to Kelly Tarltons

A submersible light like this one. Never used one but would look cool under a decoration in the kind of tank you are creating. Depends on how much you want to spend though

I like aquatic plant central -mainly for research, looking at planted tank set ups and the plant finder is quite good. I agree - Local is best though.

Looks great. At least if I ever set up a native tank I know who to ask for moss I thought Doc or Niwa was looking at temp limits of some native plants - but there never was much info on which plants and where to get them. Only a short article on their website.
