  1. Just to the eye i think, doesnt harm the fish as far as i know
  2. So! its changed again  Instead of a 120x50x50 im using a 1metre x 50 x 60high The reason for it is that the new 1m one is in better condition and has 12mm glass, and the 120cm one is only 6mm and i dont really like filling it up. So, its being delivered tonight or tomorrow from nelson, and il setit up as soon as the other ones sold.
  3. At the moment i would say that the Large pleco and gouramis would be the largest effects on the bioload..
  4. Convicts grow pretty fast i think, and you will need to rehome some fish before your new tank IMO, Maybe you should consider getting a second hand larger tank sooner?Surely you could pickup a 250L+ off the net around $100?
  5. If all these fish are in the 180L at the moment, oyu will need to rehome most of those fish sometime soon or upgrade. Especially the clown loach, because they like to be in schools and they grow fast.

  9. Im pretty sure thats only the 'amazon molly' poecilla formosa that breeds that way, so basicly produce clones of herself, only needing any poecilla male to trigger it.
  10. The thing under my silver cover in my back yard is a Stabicraft 8) EDIT: Substitute 'my' with 'my parents'
  11. Hopefully by the time they are cheap at petshops they will all have specialist 'fish people'
  12. Getting closer to setting it up! Just need a day with nice weather to take the tank outside to give a good clean, cause it needs one! And need to find somewhere that sells daltons aquatic mix and sand. And i have decided not to go for a fully planted, but instead just heaps of wood and leaf litter with some swords along the back. Going to have Uragauensis at one end and Amazonicus or a redish sword at the other side. And for tetras i have now decided to just have cardinal tetras. And will different species of pencilfish be happy in the same tank?
  13. Kribensis, Angelfish, discus, Keyholes, festive, And most south american dwarf cichlids.
