In CHCH they are in rivers and streams hiding in plants. Just put a net through the plants and you may catch some. -

You are supposed to acclimatise them ina container floating in the tank over a 1day to a week process,and then they survive. Or put them in a colwater tank by them selves then slowly turn the temp up. -

Those shrimp you see on US sites you can not get here. The only freshwater shrimp you get here is the native coldwater 1 but it can be acclimatised slowly to trop.Not a nice as the us ones but still cool. -

Either get rid of the Black Widows or get some more as they really like to be in schools of 6 or more,Get a friend of the opposite gender for your BN, more corys and for another colourful fish options there are Dwarf Neon Rainbows, Honey Dwarf Gouramis, Siamese Fighters, Livebearers, EMperor tetras.

No i got mine form tower junction. Redwood sell theirs for $10.60 so i might go see if they have females and i can get a female or 2.
