I have found that blackouts do work on brown algae. I did a blackout on t=my fry tank and the algae died after about A week -
I bought Mouses ear from Animates about march last year and that same plant is now around 30 big plants spread out around my tanks. Growing very well

I know animates sell them for around $10,i think it is $11. Is this a good price?

How do i prepare the leaves? I read to sit them in a bucket of boiling water then dry them out.

And I Just read on a page i found on GOOGLE that a 50% waterchange with water several degrees cooler will do it.

Would Silver Birch leaves be alright too? I dont really have any other trees at our house.

I think i read a 30-40% water change with water 3-5 degrees colder will amke them want to spawn. But i am not sure if i read it for bronze corys or not. So i may be wrong

My ph need to drop a bit anyway because its supposed to be South american and most of the fish i have like a ph of below 7. It going to be in a 3foot tank with a cf1200 or fluval 404 and the filter intake will be 15cm or so above gravel. What type of leaves did you use?

Cool, Is it Bolivian Rams that like to spawn on red rocks?

My two bolivian rams are fighting all the time biting each others side, Liplocking and chasing all the time. I know this is a bit like spawning behaviour in angels,Could it be spawning? Ones a deffinate male and one doesnt have much colour. Cheers
