  4. snails of all species as big as there eye , my green spots crunch malayn trumpet snails with ease .
  5. i actually grab my saltwater from the ocean , and mix with freshwater in a bucket , then test gravity /salinity with a hydrometer only on water change though , when water evaporates the salt dosent, so just top up with freshwater , in the wild ,in estuaries ,mangroves etc.. there will usually be slight changes in salinity , with tides , rain ,etc.. i would test water the puffers are in and keep them in there , and gradually introduce salt , over a few weeks marine salt NOT tonic salt hope that helps , i am know expert , but this is what i would do ,and only my opinion
  6. if they were mine ,i would have them in low end brackish , but thats only my opinion 8) they may live (survive ) in freshwater, but they will thrive in brackish , never know may induce breeding pleco s dont like salt much though :-? , neither do many plants , but some do ok , ive heard java fern is good , only plants i have in my brackish tank ,is marine red algae , as i am high end brackish /near on marine put lots of rocks , nooks and crannies ,

  12. hello cat pros looking into easy , small , starter L numbers , looking for somthing bit flash ,for my new set up , just want some advice , ,something bit different ,
  13. what is your feeding regime ? , what food are you using , and are you the only one feeding fish ? another suggestion is you may have stocked tank to quickly , cut back on stock for a while until things come right . hope it comes right for you
  14. might be trying to blend with substrate , may be dominence thing , from other pleco , could be lighting ,could be stressed , could be lots of reasons , not much help aye :roll:

  16. my aquis 2400 filter is an ok filter though , apart from the black lever breaking on the hose dissconnection , happened to a mates also , still works though
  17. i have an aquis 2400 filter , with a via aqua 650 on for a bit of extra . on my 6ft tank . but i have a big sump ,which i am going to eventually set up up ,when i get all the plumbing i need , been saying that for the past 4 months ! i like the idea of sump as you can hide all the gears in there ,heaters ,etc,making more room in the tank
