THANK-YOU!!! This is what i have been serching for but could never find it, knew that i had seen it somewhere!!!! I think she's only been holding a week, poss 10 days but her "throat" is definately darker. Actually managed to see the eggs at one stage but it was very quick!!! Hiya i have a couple of E. yellows holding and the one that has held the longest has 2 red spots above her top lip. Just wonder if it stretching or something else. Has anyone elses had this while holding? Also should i strip her if it is serious? Any thoughts/suggestions appericated!!!!

IMO NO!!! Convicts get very aggressive and i learn this from experience!! :oops: I thought that angels being part of the cichlid family would be fine but the second that the convicts paired up that attacked and killed an angel over night!!

Hiya, less than 10cm and hides in a tunnel all day anyway, barely enough room for him to turn around in but he's chosen it. That's another thing he doesn't come out of the tunnel at all during the day, too bright??

Hiya, i read the info on PLanetcatfish and they state that they only get to 124mm!! 12.4cm. So would think that a 3ft is more than enough!!

What is the minimum size for these cats to live in?? The pictus is nearly at maximum lenght and the hoplo's a bit smaller. In a 3ft at the moment with 7 angels but am considering down sizing and removing the angels. What are your thoughts??

There are 2 for $60 on trade me but would need someone in CHCH to pick up and post to me and the seller doesn't want to ship. Still deciding but probally shouldn't wait too long or will miss oout!!!!

The smaller one does at the moment only got him on monday and the other one is now challenging the pictus to the tunnel!!LOL :roll:

Thanks and glad to know that i got what i paid for!! :bounce: Yeah my guy (how do you tell?) goes crazy sometimes and races around the tank like mad!! :roll: He's claimed the tunnel as his and the poor hoplo's have to hide under the javafern on the wood!!
