only if u feed a one food diet, if you have all the right foods right lights etc you dont need them, they dont get it in the wild

these guys are royal farlowella. the water quality in there tank is very good because it is on a 20 tank sump, i have filter woll over the out take to stop them getting sucked in.

I got some zebra's off sharron about 2 years ago and they are still going strong in my sisters tank do u remember me????

we i got to work to day and had about 25 fry still got abot 15 eggs, they are in a tank by them selves with the parents, and filter wool on the out take to the sump to stop them getting sucked down. they still have egg sacks so they rnt eating yet, i had got some cuecumber, zuequinie etc to put in the tank for them to eat... they dad is about 15cm and mum about 10 cm so was realy suprised to get eggs off them... is there anything else that i need to do to try and raise them up... i know that there is only about a 25% success rate with these guys. also i will only be able to get them to 20days old because as of the 20th of may 07 i will no longer be working at the animal shack.

has this ever been done in nz/world before?

at work we have a tank of just neons (150-200+) and its awesome to watch them school when the lil kids scare them

but turtles can get ammonia poising

ive seen them over 2 foot and have had people tell me that theres was 3fdt and about 10cm thick

this is more for the mods but its also open to discusion. as there is new sections going in at th mo, Trade me, Reptiles & amphibs. so i am now asking can we split up the cichlid section so we have african cichlids, (Malawis, tagns, victorian etc) and american cichlids (south american, central american etc) so now lets see if we can get this as well (its only fair we get a new section as well)

we have a nice big male beardie at work...55cm+ and i have a 63cm blue tounge that is at a mates house with its gf i used to have 12 turtles as well, they all have new homes now.

well where i work we have 2 tanks of guppies, one is imported males and we normally have 30+ and in the other we have a mix of nz breed guppies and have on average 50+ bout tanks a 80L so i would say get more guppies to spred the agro out
