  1. could be a runt I had a blue that hardly grew at all compared to my others ,it does happen
  2. In breeding tank In Main Tank
  3. Yes I order it from the www.algone.com site haven't found anything here that touches algae , depending on tank size which pouch you use my tank is 190 litres and I use one pouch a week , you put it straight into your filter
  4. go to www.algone.com works for me cost may be more than usual but if it works use it ,I have for 2 years and no algae for me
  5. I use this product for algae control it is safe effective cost wise for the job it does very good here is the site http://www.algone.com/
  6. Here is a site for live food in Auckland for all insects http://www.ak.planet.gen.nz/~bio/index.html
  7. Still interested let me know when it arrives
  8. From Brine shrimp direct you can purchase a 12lb case of Grade A Brine shrimp for US$396.44 freight included. If a few banded together I would say that 12lb of brine shrimp should last quite a time
  9. Well they have done the 4th batch now PH is coming down gradually the waiting for results is at hand , will 4th time be lucky (watch this space)
  10. Yes thank you for your information,3rd batch devoured seen the chap I bought them from and he advised the same as you to decrease the PH to about 6 to 6.2 , has has bred Discus for a very long time and said this will help them to stop eating the egggs , hopefully they aren't to slow at learning parenting but time will tell , my golden suns have paired off now so I guess I will have double the drama
  11. Yes definately a pair , had them under a magnifying glass and the eggs are definately fertile the first batch did hatch but they were in the show tank and I think they got some help from the other fish . My golden suns look as if they are pairing up as well they are chasing the other discus to all parts of the show tank
  12. My Snakeskins have just laid their third batch of eggs , hopefully this will be the first result in babies , any ideas on how many times they will eat their eggs as they have devoured the first two
  13. Many thanks for your welcome much appreciated , saw the fire was due to happen seems to be every second or third year . Well the second spawning has gone already eaten this morning hope they learn real quick to be parents
