ive got a heap of red zebs and blue zebs to get rid of

my O,s favorite game is to grab hold of fake plants and swim of with them til thry pull out so would hate to think what he would do with real plants hes in a 500 l tank with elec yellows blue zebras bumble bees and lion heads and they all get on fine hes awsome more like a dog than a fish . i have a small rc submarine which he loves to chase around the tank hes about 25cm a real character

wot i have decided to do is run my 1200 l/h internal filter that has been used in my other tank for a coupple of months while my canister filter cycles hav added about 8 various cichlids will see how they go thanks for your help

just set up 500l tank in lounge used about 100 l of water from existing tank and the rest from tap can i start adding fish in my thinking it should be no different than doing a water change in an old tank as there should be heaps of bacteria in that 100 l of cycled water thanks for your thoughts.

ill be keen if you need to get rid of any

ive got a 6 foot cichlid tank a 3 ft electric yellow breeding setup my community which i will be redoing this weekend a tank for fry and a native brackiish tank i just had a internal filter in the tank that crashed but all my other tanks have ugf and internal filters and ive never had a prob till now give me a buz somtime 3438876 will catch up

was away at the weekend at a 4x4 comp and came home sunday night to find that my community tank had crashed 7 dead neons female krib 3 bns and 5 guppys and a young fighter :evil: :evil: :evil: im gutted have been keeping fish for a couple of years and ive only lost a convict cause he got beat up i havent been able to work out what happened but i think it could be somthing to do with a raised gravel area over half the tankthe gravel was about 6 inchs deep wit no ugf and me thinking it may have had a build up of toxins have since moved the fish to my other tanks ad all ok what suprises me is that the plants are thriving .so i know have a widowd female krib male fighter and male bn so if any one can help it would be great

yea they are fine no luck breeding thm yet but they are in a community tank so that cant be helping

i was over there at easter and imo the fish shop at palmers garden center just out of hastings was premo

just got one he/she is about 20cm long and has instantly became my fav fish it came from a small tank and is now in a 6 footer and hes luvin it they just have personalities like no oter fish iv come accross his fav game seems to be swiming into the power head as hard as he can then letting the current push him back to the other end of the tank i am now seriosly thinkin bout turnin my 6 footer into a full o settup at the mo there is a large green sev ,lionheads, and perl eartheaters in there how many of you keep these awsome fish :bounce:

is there a decent light on the tank

hi guys managed to catch a baby eel last night about 3 inches long and about 1-2 mill thick any way i was wondering if they can survive in a tropical tank or will i need to set up a tank of his own cheers

most rocky streams have them just go turn over a few rocks you'll find some and if you get sick of them they tast beutiful :lol: :lol:

hy guys im looking at setting up a brackish tank but have had nothing to do with salt water just wondering if anyone can give me any info like what i need easiest fish ect any good websites? cheers :-?

:bounce: so far all fry are doing well and are all free swiming im just having a go at hatching some brine shrimp have been feeding with fry food from LFS 8)

all my tanks have ug filters running in conjunction with hob's or internals and have never had any probs (runs and touches nearest wood)
