  1. i had a look on both hometech and dvs web sites, i thort the hometech one look better in the digrams but i think its a personal opnion thing as they both do the same thing as far as i can see. im going to the local electrical wholesaler todat to have a look at buying a system and installing it my self, ill post some prices of what i find.
  2. this might seem like a stupid question but what is HRV? i havent come accross that term before.
  3. sounds like youve been hard at work suphew, got any pics for us, might be able to copy your ideas. good plan kp, very clever! some what unpractical i would imagine but clever non the less. maybe some polished stainless, would help as a refelector as well!
  4. i have 7 small (imo) fish, and i feed 2 cubes of frozen brine shrimp each day, i feed nori for the tangs and spirulina flakes now and again for a treat. my fish would happly eat more but its the happy fat fish vis waste that controls my feeding. i have had high nutrients in my tank that may have been caused by over feeding, there on the fall now and i havnt adjusted what i feed, so i cant blame the food just yet.
  5. so we all get evaporation, some more than others, i loose around 2 litres a day, i have heard of up to 10 litres a day :-? due to my work my house stays shut up all day and in winter its too cold to open some windows to let out the moisture when i get home, i use a dehumidfyer some of the time, and now it will probably stay on 24/7 during winter. :-? just wundering what people use to remove the moisture from there homes caused by the evaporation from our reef tanks. anyone got a great method they use that they can recommend for the rest of us? just thort it might be an interesting topic that i havnt seen on here. :bounce:
