Does any one have some good info on breeding these guys as I've looked into my tank today and found yes there are 2 females and one male ****yippi****, so I'm tring to find out all sorts from what temp to have the tank, what plant etc etc. If anyone can shed some light I would be so greatful. its awesome i got them i reckon as they are still not that common i see there are some on tm is that malawinz from here? has 30 fry so they are getting a little brooder but still not as likely to find as the usuals wich is cool as they are different cool looking fish and eventually i might trade some for some peacocks or somthing saves forking out money when 2 people can help each other out all well today havent lost any so im stoked bye for now Geremy

It is now 15 days and i am getting paranoid of the mother eating them so tonight they will be stripped dont think she has too many but some are better than none so ill let yous know what happens cheers

holding now has been going on since last few days seen the eggs then fertilised ect picked up ect so no cross breeding there or stone holding lol just hope she gos long anoth to strip lol cheers

we have only had them like 3 weeks just different flakes i think the wifes been feeding them didnt expect them to breed this early as they are small but hell im stocked thats what i hoped they where going to do eventually so good score that they are now cheers Geremy

i brought mine off someone on trade me he had brought the 5 small unsexable ones and ended up with 2 pair so we brought his ours are in a 2ft just the pair while they are breeding then into our 3ft or 4ft but they dont want to venture into the 5ft lol my africans hehe we have mts got a few 2ft rs too and ect ect lol cheers Geremy

we got a pair that where from one of the tm lots of 5 off another person he keept 3 if that makes sense lol and they are still small about 40mm if that . we have just found over the last couple of days eggs today we found wrigglers so yeah breed allready im stoked cheers Geremy and Carla

Since i now know how to post pics and have a photobucket account thought id share some pics.Stand is a custom built by my self out of heart rimu later when the kids are older and wiser a breeding tank will be built for underneath.Tank is 1500 by 480 by 480 running a via aqua 750 pro and 2x elite 200w heaters a few fake plants some lime rock and light stones and done after hours of building lol it is all steel framed so is strong as heres some pics cheers Geremy ps the pics of fish where from my old tank have more species and have got rid of some
