  1. yep, especially for killies!
  2. Just chuck the new substrate, rocks etc in and wait a couple days for it to settle in and get the water parameters right, then chuck the africans in, no need to restart a cycle.... you may need to drop the water level to half when you put your substrate in so it doesnt cloud the water too much, then fill it back up again, treat it like a water change.....
  3. Heh, nice, slightly overstocked IMO, filtration may need to be upped
  4. I have my pair of kribs in a 200 x 300 x 300 tank at the moment, and they are fine. its meant to be for my killies but they are holidaying there for now
  5. Yep, it should be a good trip...... Anyone whos coming got any Daphnia? i want some to culture inside, dont need heaps just a starter..... If anyone does, bring them along, or PM if you want $$ or whatever.... Rogan P.S. whos keen for lunch on the roundabout again?
  6. SCORE!!! Took a swipe with a net in my half barrel which is outside with driftwood in it, and out came these. thats just the corner of the container too, theres probably 10 times that amount in the whole container, plus i fed all my fish with some before the photo too my killies are gunna be happy!!! Anyone else got live food this time of year?
  7. lol, its an ironfist sticker, Bmx brand, the tank used to belong to my mate
  8. here it is To save people looking lol..... im gunna pile more rock up in that left hand end to cover the filter (gunna drop that green one down further too) and gotta spread the sand around a little bit more too.....
  9. Im liking this conversation guys! keep it up! Tank is now setup (theres a pic in my fishroom thread if you really want to see) so i will get the brichardis next weekend..... I need to buy a bit more rock aswell, then it will be sussed.....
  10. haha, i was contemplating discus, but i have decided against it for the time being... who knows what will happen in the future.... Hey, my sister might move out too
  11. Theres a possibility, but IMO not likely. Yay!
  12. Wasnt planning to come any time soon lol. whys that? wouldnt mind a trip over one weekend to come see you im going to rotorua next weekend with the club..... BTW, heres some pics i just took African tank (need to get some more rock in rotorua and pile it up in that corner to cover the filters) And heres my little cube which is beside my bed, I put those fish in about an hour ago.... theres some baby mollies in the floating trap thingy which will be going soon..... I know that you can see the heater and filter etc, but the plants will grow and cover them, the rock on top of the driftwood is only there to hold it down too, im gunna put some rocks in the rear right hand corner eventually..... Rogan
  13. I have a platy missing one eye.... just a battle wound or it has torn it on something. It will be fine, as long as it doesnt get an infection of some sort into in... so if you just keep the tank clean as possible (keep the water changes up) it should be fine
  14.  I put the coral rock, and coral sand into the african tank so now im just waiting for the crap to settle and ill get a pic up hopefully....
  15. Well its been almost 2 weeks since the fishroom started (ages i know) and things are starting to semi come together..... Heres a pic as of 5 minutes ago From the far end tank to the small once you can just see in the bottom right corner, this is whats in each tank.... 1. Breeding pair of kribs, 2. Breeding trio of Bronze corydoras (and hundreds of eggs layed today), 3. 30 odd baby Bristlenose from a spawn ages ago, 4. trio of nothobranchius korthausae yellows, 5. 2 female chocolate australe, 6. 1 male keyhole cichlid and finally 7. my WCMM.... Hope that made sense..... I just moved all the fish out of the 120L that they were temperarily in, into seperate tanks including a 50L cube tank beside my bed..... Now im gunna go setup the 120L again ready for my Neolamprologus Brichardi which i will hopefully be picking up next weekend if everything goes to plan.... I will hopefully get a pic up tonight of that tank and the Cube..... So, Still to do: Get a 4 foot light unit to go over the two 2 foot tanks side by side in the fishroom setup the 3 footer (which has a lonely male keyholes in it ATM (cos he was getting beaten up by the kribs)) and plant it out etc ready for my Bichir... Put a small light on the WCMM tank Get a male Chocolate australe killi and get them breeding! Get my africans tnak setup and get them in and sorted..... About then the work semi stops, and i get to enjoy all my fish (12 tanks in our house now, including mums two  )

  19. How did you get rid of it before?? To realy get rid of it you usually need to use Erythomycin (sp?) which is a prescription only medicine. I would offer you some, but i have run out  It is a pain of a thing to get rid of sometimes....
