i would go to some glass companys, it will be very expencive i would think that it would have to be toughened and very thick. maybe you could add supports vertically though the front veiwing side and have maybe 3 pices of glass insted of the 1, this way it will be stronger and wouldnt need as grunty glass? just an idea
  9. once the glass is toughened then thats it. the only thing you can do is maybe sand about 5-10mm off each edge and even thats doogey.

yeah i say go the oscars! every fish keeper should have them!
  11. didnt mean to upset you  im just saying the extra price out weighs the benifits there are probly heaps of tanks out there around your size and probley bigger and would just been 10mm imo i would rather the 12mm like you suggested with good bracing
  12. i am also in the glass industry, and the price of toughened is far higher than the price of normal float glass. unless you can get it secound hand like alanmin4304 said then its baiscly out of the question as far as the price goes. off the top of my head i think its 2-3x the price as normal
  13. hey reef you got any updated pics?

theres no BN,snails or plecs. i notice it in the faster growing plants like the stargrass and the hydrahilia(sp?) its not to bad. i would think lack of light could be it.. theres only about 70watts over a 215l tank and there is also co2 running too.

yeah you should be abile to see them on the sides. they are just small white worms, is the dirt damp? if not then you better water it. you dont want it wet but not dry if you know what i mean :-? also feed them, white breed with no crust that is wet and soggy
