Hi im 13 i have a tropical tank but i am getting a marine tank in may! My dad is willing to help so its sort of a father son hobbie lol. But I know that i need to test phs amonia nitrates nitrites etc But i have never had a water problem with tropical fish so out of curiousity how do oyu sort water problems?

Hi every one i did actually appolagise i dont know if any of you are religous but if you are you would see where im coming from God created us to help and love oneanother not to fight! I apolagised but as 4 live bearer bredder not taking it seriously and putting her opinion across in such a cocky manner! well words fail me and no i hadnt seen the search bar either so dont pick at me other that im not one of those x ray machines that knows exactly what hes doing the minute he enters a forum! Im still experamenting and some people on here havnt even been welcoming just rude on the posts they have sent me however the mogority of people on here are really nice and caring so thanks to cath and nicky boy and i cant remember the rest but thanks to all of you that have helped.

Hi out of interist should you add corals and anemones to a fish tank before adding fish?

will powder blue stergons, clown fish, regal tangs, yellow tangs, wimple fish, cherub fish, purple salifin tangs, blue chromis and goldrim tangs be compatable with eachother? please let me know thanks P.S please forgive my spelling

Hi i always wanted a marine aquarium but i ended up with a tropical one. I am lucky enough to be getting a marine aquarium aswell soon! I have marine books but i am still unsure on what equipment you need and how you know how much salt to add and how a hydrometer works etc

hi everybody i want opinions lol i dont know weather to have a chdlid tank or a brackish tank. what do you think is better and what equipment will they need that is differant to the normal tropical freshwater tanks?

Hello i am quite disapointed to be saying this but a few people on this site are rather nasty! A forum is where you chat and help eachother out! well you can correct me if you think im wrong with that. I am 13 and have loved fish all my life i finally have a tank of fish. However when i post on this forum its because i want advice! not because i want to be told to look on google which is something i do sometimes do however at times its hard since i have so much homework to do. God didnt create us to row he created us to be helpful towards one another and i hate to say this but a few people on here arnt doing that instead there being down right rude! If a lady asked asked for road directions you wouldnt say look at a map would you? you would help them, so i think its about time some people helped instead of shooing you away! being rude! or nasty! This dosnt apply to everyone just a few people on here. i hope you all see where im coming from. and that if we work together and help eachother out not just this forum, but the world will be a better place.

hey im only 13 you know and i do get alot of homework i only have a bit of time to do my own stuff and i chose to be on her so some of you like live bearer whatever your name is need to show a bit of respect and not pick fights! :evil:

i no but im not that good with that sort of thing with homework and everything else i dont get much time not even on here lol yer i have a seprate tank for breeding it is heated and running but with nothing in it!

If they are pregnant what do you do? do you separate the male and female and when they give birth do you put the female back?

hi i have only set up my tank but i learnt the hard way that angel fish and neons are uncompatable. Black widows are ideal for a beginner they are tetras and are compatable with angelfish how ever also not with neons! I have a shoal of 6 black widows they are extreamly hardy and very attractive in my opinion more so than neons!

I would get a pleco they are really good at cleaning up the tank dont get an algue eater as they dont clean the tank and become very aggressive so ive heard. I think you can also get an algue conditioner im not sure though

The same thing happened to mine he has probrably got swim bladder! Its where they have swollowed to much oxeygen from the water surface! Hand feed him on stick food and he should get better slowly but surly
