anyone had a tank crack..... one of mine cracked the other day, at the bottom, 3/4 of the water had leaked out all over the floor (was really fun to clean up) by the time i got home from work and found it... not sure why it cracked, i see it had cracked on the other side when i brought it off trade me about 9 months ago and had been repaired, b4 this it never leaked... anyway there was only 1 fish in it, a sick discus but it was and is still alive, the heater was like half out of water so im surprised that didnt crack, not sure if it still goes or not i havent tested it...

hey all just wanted to see who out there has axolotls... i brought 3 when i was about 10 yrs old (im now 27), and only one has died so far which was about 2 weeks ago. it got bloated and then eventually died. not sure why but it was old so it had done its dash anyway... had a long life...

i had mine with a chinese algae eater and it was sweet...

has anyone bred these? i had 5, and a few are/were very fat, one died yesterday and i have no idea why. anyway although i didnt want to i did an autopsy and there was hundred/thousands of green eggs. i assumed they wouldnt hatch to i flushed them, anyone have any ideas? cheers

hey all, just new to the BN babies... when u feed them courgettes, do u chop slices and just put them in the tank? they float so is it better to put them on the gravel and put a bit of a rock on it so it stays on the bottom? cheers

nah because it wasnt like that when i got it, i had had it for about 9 months before it got this, first one hole, then like 3 small holes, i then separated it from the other discus i have (which are all sweet), have tried it in a bare tank with basically nothing in it, tried turning the heat up, tried it on TRICHOZOLE which i got from the vet, the vet didnt know what to give me so they called BROOKLANDS and was advised to give me this. i have been advised to try FLUGAL (or some name like that) or METROZINALE (again i think thats the name) but i cant get these anywhere...

where would i get one from?

i have a big discus that has at least 6 holes, it is not getting better with any treatment i have given it, it has been quarantined for at least 3 months if not more, the other discus it was previously with before i noticed the first 1 hole are all fine but this one is not getting better yet it is not dying... any ideas... i have thought about euthanism since i have read the posts about it but dont know if i can do it??? thanks

is this contagious to fish that are not discus?

hey there i have one of these big guys and i never see him come out eating, i pretty much just feed like you have said you feed for the other fish in the tank and he is still ok. had it about a month now. pretty sure he comes out at night.

HI there, I have a bloated axolotl which I think has eaten stones. I have read that they do this now and then and most times spit them out and are all good but should I do anything or just leave it? THanks heaps

yes they are like that mine both eat outta my hand, just training the little guy, the big guy is greedy tries to rip it outta my hand then swim off unless i hold onto it, then he scoffs it all down

hi all, just wondering who has tropical eels (i.e. fire eel, tire track eel, spiny zebra/peacock eel - is there any others)??? i have read what size they can grow to on the internet but how big are the ones people have here (im just curious, i think they are really cool). i have a 20cm tire track and a small young 7cm fire eel. also how often do u feed them and what? i feed my tire track daily with blood worms and he is greedy and seems to want 2 cubes to himself, but twice i have seen him grab my big black angel by the head!!!!! the angel is not small and i dont know if hes hungry or just picking on him cause i also have young discus in the same tank which are a bit smaller than the angel (not tiny though) and he does not bother them, i have moved the angel out so he is safe and he hasn't gone near the discus. anyone have any similar experiences? cheers

hi guys, i have just got a new young fire eel, he's only about 7cm long and probably not even 1 cm wide/thick, im just wondering how old he is????? i was told about 1 month but i was thinking (although im posibly wrong) maybe 2 months? what do u think? cheers
