hi i have recently found around 20 phoenix worms in my backyard and wanted to know how to breed them. does anyone know how or have a care sheet?

I get hundreds out of my worm farm every summer, the frogs and beardies love them!

thx for the advice, have checked the website good info on there, what do you put in your compost? i can never find any in our fruit scraps compost.

in the worm farm is just all scraps from the kitchen with wet newspaper on top, not sure how the flys even get in there to begin with as pretty much a sealed unit

Sorry to wake such an old post up but does anyone actually breed these today?

I wouldn't say I breed them as such but I did discover a heap of them in my worm farm. Didn't know what they were till I read the above link so might be the next meal for my frogs

They're really hard to breed, no one is currently successful in NZ.
