Freakyfish
Hi guys I have been a member who for a short while and i was brought here by Justin (herefishiefishie) and im glad i did Some of the forums im on in Aus are not run properly and the majority of members dont want to answer question bout fish problems or even ask questions they might like are silly but here everyone gets in and helps out everyone noone is abused for asking a stupid questions(stupid questions IMO are only ones you already know the answer for) everyone has a go at answering questions This forum is open to new members not pushing them away from posting I just want to say Thank you to all the members here and i hope oneday we can meet That said there are times when some topics get alittle heated (i usually notice Justin and I involved) but i dont think it ever goes to far where it becomes personal. Everyone is entitled to their opinion doesnt matter what someone else thinks about it Thank you everyone Brad Ill stay around here alot longer if everyone still wants me lol

Keri Anne
Wow... that's a really cool thing to read about a forum that I'm involved in. [After all it is the ppl involved that make it, right? ] I'm glad you feel welcome Brad. I've learnt so much since being here as well. The place really does seem to have a good buzz. So cool to read warm fuzzies after a 7 1/2 hour shift. It's sometimes amazing how many wonderful helpful people are here.
Caryl
Our aim was to make this a family friendly forum suitable for all Brad and we try (despite a lot of flak from some quarters) to keep it that way. Thanks for the kind words and we hope to visit you one day too (sorry)
Zev
Thanks for the kind words and we hope to visit you one day too Does this mean a Federation conference in the Gold Coast, Caryl??

herefishiefishie
Brad your a suck  Thats the worse load of dribble I have read in years. All I ever here from you is; the kiwis are nothing but imbreed, sheep shagging dumbies, who know nothing about fish keeping & couldn't play sport to save their lives. Really though, I think thats the difference between Aussie & NZ, NZers are the ones who on the whole are more laid back, keen to help out his fellow person. It isn't point scoring; it's "what do I know that could help out." :bounce: I visit Brad a times a week at his work, we have our chats, bounce ideas... I thought Brad would like this site, as he is more a, "I like forums so I can learn, bounce ideas, help out..." Rather than I just want to sell stuff, read, otherwise there is nothing in it for me. I spend more time here on this well run forum than I do on the main 2 forums I visit in Aussie. Then there are others in Aussie I don't even look at anymore {need a yawning emoticon} I know I can be a bit, ummm, well yeh. :-? I just try to call it how I see it & there are a couple of beefs that rub me up the wrong way. Does this mean a Federation conference in the Gold Coast, Caryl??How cool would that be. 8) xxxx yuck, Bourban here Alan  Is there anything you would like to look at while you are here? In Aussie, wholesale live stock is basically a dunopoly. We should be able to organise a tour of one that is in North Brisbane. Or even a lfs tour, well the better ones.. Although there is heaps to do other than fish of course; like drinking, drinking & more drinking. I finally got hold of my friend who is killi fanatic. Bad news, he had to give it up last year, Lung Cancer, which explains the not seeing him for a while. He did give me the name of another fella, who I don't really know, still see what I can do. Freakyfish
Justin Justin Justin I think you have misheard me at times I have only said those things about you well also Kieran at cricket lol Nah i love being a part of this forum the differences are to numerous to mention but its just being treated as a person which makes the main difference Another is the lack of Egos here everyone realises that even the most accomplised fish keeper can learn something new from a newbie I am like Justin said I like to read alot of fishkeeping and wondering why someone does things differently I take abit from everyone i talk to and i change it to suit myself and my tanks I also have a fairly good memory(though does vary from time to time) which is why i do alot of research on aquariums I find i learn alot more here then the vast majority of websites i have read Brad
Caryl
It is entirely possible a future conference could be held on the Gold Coast. It almost was in 2004 but we decided Fiji was better Next overseas conference will probably be Rarotonga then perhaps we can look at Aus. sharn
one of the things i like bout you two aussies is that your not like all the others, alot of aussies dont like kiwis that much and can be quite nasty but we can all have a joke and thats what i love, jokes along with advice= a great forum, i love hearing the jokes about us sheep lovers
herefishiefishie
But I am not an Aussie, :-? & never will be. 8) OK I confess I did support the soccerroos, but we are so useless at soccer{Solomons beat us in qualification for petes sake} what else was I supposed to do, please forgive me fellow kiwis... Go the AB's & the Crusaders, & the merged Lancaster Park/ WWMC Cricket clubs, Technical soccer club.... herefishiefishie
Sorry I could never call it Jade Stadium. I watched every sheild challenege in the 80's era{even the one against I thin Hawkes Bay when it pissed down} & I was lucky enough to have played a rugby game on there too. {Curtain Raiser to Fiji game} Trying to think of the radio station that made up a few songs{the old 3ZB maybe?}, one was "Give it a boot Robbie" I used to play cricket for Lancaster Park, 92-97. Used to train in the south grounds. Dosen't exist now. I did manage to play a few first grade games. Again lucky enough to have played a couple of games with Chris Cairns. So to me no matter what they call it, its Lancaster Park. Frenchy
Keri Anne
Sorry I could never call it Jade Stadium... So to me no matter what they call it, its Lancaster Park. Frenchy You're a man after my own heart, Frenchy. Were you down there when they were trying to save the park by selling red & black socks? We weren't allowed to were them to school [Avonside Girls] but we did anyway. They soon discovered that you couldn’t put half the school in detention at once for breach of uniform. :bounce:
GeeTee
I found the same thing with the Aussie forums, there is never a lot to be said on these forums either. You can go for days without looking at them, check on them for some local knowledge and find no additional info. The only other site I look at is the cichlid-forum that Frenchy has been posting the "handy hints"from.Good site but not as friendly or personal. Can't beat this site. herefishiefishie
I went to Cathedral College, my first year of high school was the first year of the new school. Was Sacred Heart{girls school}& Xavier College{boys school} used to be a good footy & netball school back then, as in gave the more upper class schools a run for their money. I don't remember the red & black sock thing sorry. I am more like Caper, I tend to forget things too. I do remember how to source answers to questions as in, I remember the web page or book page  Frenchy
