i wish i had my new tank so i could start setting it up ive had the stand made up

I just did a google so I could see a pic of a jag cichlid, one pic, not that pretty, but another the fishy was beautiful. Then I read a bit about them...OUCH...rough little critters... or should I say "big" critters since they can get huge

happy days the jags r in there new home

ill try an load some well i mean my missus will try lol

Sorry I can't. I am working on it I promise. Diane.

sweet as help we dont know how to load pics we watch a cool thing last nite watched the female lay her eggs an then the male do his thing it looked so cool

thats awesome smcoleman didnt take then long at all.

they must love that 5 foot tank

hi they where in the tank together less then 24 hours

Cool & well done. Hope all goes well for the jag fry & yourself in raising them.

ps; Did they lay a heap of eggs?

Frenchy

im not sure if its common with jags but it is with a few other cichlids- sometimes the parents will fight over who gets to look after the fry, if this happens you might need to divide the parents up and let the fry pick which side theyre going too  not sure if youve experienced their teeth yet (perhaps now is a good time to put your arm in  ) but they use em good and can rip each other up

any chance of some piccies of the eggs (and the tank ones of course lol)?
