DartzMan
Gday everyone....Recently I picked up a little addition to my African tank..... The fish is about 1.5" long If you click on the link below you will see an image http://www.dartz.biz/Blue-Fish.jpg (Stripes in photo look black but are actually a navy blue" Anyway the fish was sold to me as a Zerbra "Red Top" after looking on the net for that fish, this one looks nothing like it..... As it is a cichlid I expect it to me agressive, however it is constantly beating up on my 4" catfish....It rarely picks on anything else.....I really would like to know more about ti before I decide to get rid of it... Faran
Morning Dartz, Not much to say about it aside from the fact that they can be mildly agro. Small piece of advice - try and take pics of your new fishies while still in the transport bags.. easier that way Google is your friend <--- here's a profile for the Pseudotropheus Sandraracinos (Red Top Zebra) and the pic even looks like yours aside from the red dorsal rather than the seemingly black in your photo. DartzMan
I believe it to be from the same Gene but called a Cobalt Blue..... still I dunno...all look the same to me, these ones.... Will watch it though...
Tiden
Hi ya, it could be a Pseudotropheus demasoni maybe?? Have a look at this:http://cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=

Not real close to a red top... ps;demasoni are very agro too. Frenchy

herefishiefishie
  Bloody Aussies, they are everywhere now days. {Always wanted to say that, make for a pleasant change} Good chance  it is a Demasoni then, & yes they are very agro. They will give most cichlids its size & bigger a run for its money. {Getting other foot ready} I'd recommend you don't buy cichlids off whoever you got this last one off. If they can't see that it is not a red top zeb, they really don't know their cichlids, or worse customer service skills. By the way what other fish do u have in the tank? Frenchy ps;sorry if I created any confusion lol.
Tropheus
My 2cents worth. Very much a "P.Demasoni" not to be confused with Cynotilapai Afra which is in NZ
