i remember seeing that not long ago... they had to use trucks and forklifts to lift the wood i think. woulda been a mission and a half to set up... i wonder if hes married... :lol:

A tank that size, you wouldn't be able to do water changes by bucket :lol: I guess you'd have to have some kind of special system for changes wouldn't you?

My partner bought me one of his books for xmas... new plan to make some thing like that in my 4 ft (dreams are free).

just browsing though old thread and came across this one. every now and then i update my self on what amano is doin and his "home tank" so i thought i'll share some of what i've found here.

Far out that's 7200 litres.

the dimensions are 4m X 1.5m X 1.5m, 9000Litres not including the sump.

Must be an acrylic tank, cuz the glass would have to be massively thick, even with that welded frame for bracing... glass thickness calculator tells me 105mm for the front pane...
