tel
designed to have a timber 4 x door cabinet slide in with false back to hide plumbing (sump directly below in garage) this wont happen till much later.
Sharkey
Wow Very Nice I guess it would be very strong to right? Will the welds on those bars hold the weight of a whole tank with water without some sort of support from the bottom?
tel
bloody well hope so. its gonna be @ 1000kgs. so around 250kgs per leg which is why the legs look like they do, so the feet dont punch thru my t&g floor. alljoins are butt welded and tank sits on 15mm foam then @ 7.5 haditex then on bars. Newtman
nice 1 tel, looks good. id say it looks fine to hold that amount of weight, what thickness stainless is it?most of the load will get dispepsd around the edges anyway amd then through the legs. very cool. tel
legs are 50 x 50 @1.6mm and bars 40 x 25 @ 1.9 mm. (i think). niloc made it, took a long time but job awesome and $ good.
Snowman
If Niloc made it it will definetly handle the weight as he over engineers stands to be on the safe side. An awful lot of tigging to get that stand together but from the pics well worth it, looks very cool. Cant wait to see pics with the filled tank on it ; -)>
