suphew
JUst found a bag of organic spirulina powder that the ex left behind, since it is powdered seaweed I was wondering if I can feed it into the tank, for the tangs and corals etc? Brianemone
being powdered i doubt it would benefit the tangs, not sure about the corals.

Ira
Spirulina isn't seaweed. It's a freshwater blue green algae. But, give it a try, could be good for any filter feeders.
suphew
Interesting, I always throught it was seaweed. I tried a little bit in the tank, the fish ate it but them I had a look in the skimmer and found most of it in there. Don't think I will bother again. hazymranch
Spirulina is a blue green algae and Bob Fenner recommends it as a component in reef tank mash.
