PENEJANE
I just discovered my first White Cloud Mountian Minnow fry!!!! I saw something this morning that looked shiney on the side of the tank and thought it might of been a new baby snail so I didn't think much of it but I had another good look this evening and the litthe shiney thing was still there and under much closer inspection I noticed the shiney thing was its tummy and then I saw the eyes and the very faint body outline! I am like WOO HOO. I sooo hope that they will do ok on microworms as I do not have any more bbs to hatch. I am soooooo :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Luke*
Well done Penejane you're obviously doing everything right exciting isn't it?
alanmin4304
They will need infusoria till they are big enough for microworm. You may be better with a gentle airstone to circulate the food as the fry tend to stay near the surface for a while and the food will go to the bottom. They hatch over a period so you should get more (you will see them swimming near the top soon). Good luck.

Alan
As Alan says Infusoria for the first week. Haven't got any?? Then bomb the tank with java moss and/or green water. When they start to color up you'll change your mind and think that you have baby neons. Good work Alan NZKA
PENEJANE
The whole one side of the tank is a wall of Java Moss. I hope this will be enough. I will try and start some infusoria tomorrow morning. Does the banana skin need to be dried first? I only got one banana left haha Now I know what is ment by its very hard to find the eggs as the fry are sooooooooo tiny. I spent a good 20 mins watching and noticed that I had some more. Some on the other wall and some hanging off the Java Moss. They can't be that old as they are only sitting about an inch up the side of the tank YAY!! http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y116/penejane/085.jpg
PENEJANE
I noticed this morning that there are more and more wcmm fry in the tank lol. Since I am unable to get food setup for them I went out and brought the Wardley Small Fry liquid food. The ones that looked to of been at the bottom of the tank are now up the top. They are just sitting on the side not swimming about yet. How long does it take for them to grow? cheers :bounce:
Keri Anne
How does Java Moss feed baby fry?? Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question. :-?
Alan
It gives off mico-organisms. Known as infusorians, which are produced naturally with this plant which also is a great refuge for fry. Infusoria can be produced artificially too. See elsewhere.
