iisfaq
I came across a nice simple site http://www.nature-aquarium.com/riccia.htm about planting riccia and java moss. He uses a small plastic mesh to put the riccia in and then ties it down. Just wondering if anyone has seen a plastic mesh this small either for sale somewhere or made for some specific purpose. Lucid
Hey iisfaq, Try your local garden centre or hydroponics store, they may be able to help you. The only stuff close to that in the picture I have seen is a finer mesh for the fly screen doors. Available in fibre glass, so you don't have to worry about it rusting in your tank. hope This Helps B

Cath
I'm using a plain old hair net tied firmly over the riccia over a rock, it works a treat

Now much do they cost?, do they Rot?, Where would I buy one? Chris
Caryl
They also have different sized mesh at craft shops where they sell tapestry stuff. Hairnets would be found at a chemist or maybe even the red shed. It also pays to check out the $2 shops as it is amazing the odd stuff they have in there that may be converted to aquarium uses

They had a very fine mesh one for $4.70 for about 8 meters. I then went to the Warehouse (Red Shed) and bought some fishing line for $3.60 so I should be set for the next 20 years. Cath
Hair nets have the added advantage in that if you need a new hairstyle, you can uplift the riccia filled hairnet and attach it to your head. Could be the new black...
Ira
That looks like the plastic mesh they use for, I think it's called, cross stitching. Girly crafty stuff, should be able to find it at an arts and crafts type store.
