HelifaxNZ
Just let you all know Mitre 10 Mega has these Sicce Nova Pumps for sale for $11.17. Italian design so they look good. 8) Found a website selling these for AUS$69.60!!!! http://www.agrhydroponics.com.au/hydrow ... ory7_1.htm 200L - 800L/H. 160cm at 0 flow. 80cm at 450L/H. Submersible. Outlet is 13mm, inlet can be 17mm with adapter (provided) otherwise it uses a flow control. Should be good for in tank flow. Has suckers to stick on glass. Power cable is reasonable length too. At that price, nothing to lose.

HelifaxNZ
Yeip. Looks similar to that. I'd say the one you have pumps out more L/H than Mitre 10's.

Pies
Yeah, and a Stream that does 12000 litres an hr cost $320.00. To get 12000 litres and hr from that you would only need to put about 15 in your tank. Hrmmmm what to do, 15 pumps in the tank or 1 pump. Hrmmmm decisions decisions. Ira
And they have FAR more head capacity than a stream too!
chimera
Mmmm, because we all use streams as our return pumps
Pies
Head pressue? Usefull for a power or circulation pump... If you did replace 2 streams with 30 of these pumps, think of the money you would save it base rock! Pie
reef
Ira wrote And they have FAR more head capacity than a stream too Streams are not designed to be used as return pumps so why would head capacity be a problem with streams when it is only use for water movement. Ira
Sounds like a design fault to me if they are so inflexible. Useless.
lduncan
Yeah, you don't even have to hit them to make them start. They just do it all by themselves. Not very flexible really.
