Homemade Lights

Featured Replies

I am making a light for my tank and need a bit of your guys knowledge.

The lights that i am putting in say that they are not suitable for electronic switches/remote controls.

Does that mean that i can not put it on a timer??

Your input would be much appreciated. :D

budget ones

That's really not going to help :-?

What kind of lights? Incandescant, Flourescent, Metal Halide, Candles?

I guess you couldn't use candles on an electronic timer

are you going to put a glass lid between the lights and the water? i would reccomend it

oh and going on your track record you might want to completly seal them in case they drop into the water.

Well is says that you can not enclose them so i might have to be a bit more careful. And i dont know if i will put glass on the bottom. How high off the tank will be safe if i dont put glass in.
