raeh1
I am currently deciding between Deltec MCE500 and 600 or Aqua C Romora Pro or Aqua Medic does anyone use an AquaC? For price what do you guys suggest? Cheers
Brianemone
out of those i would reccomend the deltec no point upgrading to upgrade again at a later date. as per which deltec is better, bigger is usually better whats the price diff? wasp
I've got all 3 of those skimmers running at the moment. The Remora Pro is the least productive. You'll read a lot of rave reviews about Remora Pro on the net because they were a breakthrough in their day, but cannot compete with needlewheel skimmers. misnoma
Out of the Deltecs, I would go the 600, purely because it has a decentish amount of room for putting carbon/rowaphos/canned fruit etc. I had a look at the 500 the other day and it seemed to lack such things. ghostface
Remember that you dont need to buy one retail from N.Z. there are plenty of places overseas that will happily freight one out here. i was quoted about $1000 +$55 postage from a place in U.K. for a deltec 850. the same unit at hollywood is $1900. i have seen them even cheaper on some german sites. cookie extreme
I would be interested to know where this was as the postage is INCREDIBLY reasonable. i wear german made birkenstock shoes, because they are great for your feet. cost in auckland $229.00. i just ordered some from germany for a total of $125.94 and that includes shipping (which is actually free or incorporated into the shoe price. i also do not pay tax on them in germany very much like the US and don't have to pay tax here because of it's low value. only draw back is that it takes 4 to 6 weeks til they get here. but the funniest thing is that my mother can't even buy them in germany for that price and she would have to pay a little fortune to ship them to me as well (about $40). go figure!

The skimmer can be ordered online. We are currently rebuilding the online store to cope with international orders. You are welcome to create an account using the country of residence as the UK, and when at the checkout stage use the “European†shipping option. This is priced at £35. Its possible I would get Deltec to ship one direct from the factory for you. Any questions, please feel free to get back to me. Feelers
You might get around gst, customs wont know what they are, claim they are worth less than $400NZD, I had a problem with an Ipod as the sender declared the value at $17 USD, but as soon as I mentioned $389 they sent it straight away.
