misnoma
So I have water in my tank (lots of pics to come etc). I've set the deltec mce600 skimmer up on the front of the tank at the moment (so I can see what it does lol).. Does this look like it's running correctly? It's kinda noisy as well going to try what the instructions suggest and put some foam under the pump inside it to see if that helps shut it up some. reef
doesnt look like there are much bubbles.
Brianemone
nope, doesnt look like its setup right. Is the water fresh or salt??? if its fresh water that would explain the bubble size if its salt there is diffinatly something wrong.
misnoma
It's fresh, soon to be salt, will take more pics as the salinity increases - cheers
Brianemone
the skimmer wont work properly untill the SG is correct
misnoma
Cool, I mainly fired it up to make sure it didn't leak etc. (never a good look when it's behind the tank hehe)
Brianemone
Check with reef what the air tap should be turned to as well

minchton
I have the same skimmer. Run airpump at 2pm. works O.K.
Rocketman
I have the same Deltec skimmer on a AR620T . Works great ( your'll need to put some sponge under the pump etc... and I've added an extension onto the air intake ( as a muffler )
Ira
2pm? *Reaches to the right and twists valve* We'll give that a try.
misnoma
hehehe... was what was recommended to me by reef, and there was a thread on here about it from memory as well I've turned mine off again, but the bubbles def increased as the salinity is rising (mixing uber saltwater in another bucket then adding when mixed)
