Caryl
Hi Colin, good to see you. Have you got much smoke coming your way? I saw the news last night about the fire on the Mt.
cat
Hi Colin. Welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Great place to be and great people. Their combined knowledge is more than any books and in a much friendlier format too I had three Discus but am down to one young Zebra. Had a beautiful large Blue Turquoise but he was an extremely aggresive fish and killed two Dwarf Gouramis and the other young Discus I had. He now lives by himself (again) at a friends house. (No wonder he was on his own when I bought him from a guy!!) He had 'hole in the head' at some stage but was and still is very healthy. Just plain nasty! Anyway hope to hear from you lots regarding the progress of your breedings.

ajbroome
Cat said... > ... he was an extremely aggresive fish ... I saw this fish. It is *the* most aggressive discus I've ever seen. Would try and bite you through the front of the tank. I think it may've thought it was an oscar or giant gourami... Andrew.
dennis
what have u got for them to lay there eggs on?
Warren
Sounds more aggressive than an oscar. I've always been able to lift my oscars out of the tank by hand. They are the most placid fish I've ever seen, oh, except when they are breeding, then they try to tear your hand off.
Interfecus
Welcome, hope to hear from you in later posts.
cat
I could have swapped you then Warren. You wouldnt want to even try to handle this big guy!! If he had teeth you would lose a finger or too. And yes he was well fed and looked after so his attitude wasnt because he was starving. Just a grumpy old man.
