Ira
Could have been the brittlestar. Shrimp are pretty good at cleaning up shrimp remains too.
lduncan
Bacteria are pretty good too. If the shrimp died, it wouldn't take long for it to disappear. Layton
jetskisteve
I'd suspect the brittlestar too

cookie extreme
what shrimp is it that you missing? cleaner, fire or ?? as some shrimp manage to disappear and then pop back days or weeks later. if it is a cleaner then i would point the finger at the brittle star too. but remember innocent til proven guilty! klaymann
tank was fine ... the shrimps were in there for about 6 months , tank full of live rock/life plus the clowns an anemone.. only new intro was the brittlestar isolated from main tank because of coral munching .... stupid me  !! really pissed off with my self
wasp
The carpet behind the tank can do it, especially if something in the tank has been annoying the shrimp.
