Caryl
Any good quality goldfish food and live foods I should think. Hopefully wok sees this as he breeds orandas too if I remember correctly so is sure to be able to help.
Wok
Yep.... Guess what I am reading. Congrats on the babies. Best thing to do is to keep feeding them good food and live food as well. you will need to do some culling at some stage too to get rid of the single tail ones. heads will come eventually. be patient. Discusguru
Hi, to get the head growth on the oranda, the best food will be daphnia and food that are high in protein content or you can make your own frozen food ( greenpea, fresh prawns, spinach, high protein pellets, spirulina powder, blend it all with a bit of water and bind it with gelatin. Let it cool and freeze it pack in thin slices so you can break it to feed.) HTH.
mustcooktea
Hi Not about feeding but I thought this might interest you if you haven't already seen it. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Home-living/Pets-animals/Fish/Fish/auction-31907284.htm Let's hope some of your babies turn out to be as gorgeous (and valuable). Wok
Feed a little, but often. don't want to pollute the tank do we?
Discusguru
Agree with WOK, feed a little at a time (4-6 times a day) and plenty of waterchange. Keep an eye out for the nasty fluke. It can wipe out your entire batch of babies. HTH
