PENEJANE
With the attack of my guppies tails I have been told to add melafix to the tank and was also given stress coat. I have followed the insturctions for the melafix and added that to the tank yesterday. Now my question is, it says to add that dose every day for 7 days followed by a water change. Do I follow that or do you guys recommend a different dose?? I did a water change yesterday then added this stuff but I didn't add the salt. So do I still add the salt while using this stuff?? I have guppies, 1 bn and the two bumble bee gobys who are now looking for another home. While I am using the melafix do I still add the stresscoat?? or would the melafix and salt be enough for now? I don't want to kill my fish by trying to over fix them lol. Any help would be great. Thanks
PENEJANE
can anyone help me? Do I stick with the dosage for the 7 days it suggest to do or am I going to cause more problems? While using this melafix stuff do I still add salt to the water?
Caryl
I would stick to the instructions on the bottle myself. Just use the Melafix and salt if you are wanting salt in the tank. It isn't necessary though if you are getting rid of the gobies.
PENEJANE
kk thanks for that Caryl. I just wasn't sure as some people have said to be careful using melafix so I wanted to find out what others did before I went over board lol. Thanks again
Caryl
You do have to be careful with it but only because it is important not to overdose as I believe it is toxic.
