Duke
There is a reef tank on trade me. Might be worth buying and breaking it up between us. YOUR QUESTION: What is your reserve ? Do you have a buy now price. What fish do you have.? SELLER'S ANSWER: Reserve is $2000 Fish are as follows, 1 Wrasse, 1 damsel, 2 clown fish, 1 coral beauty & a cleaner shrimp. A reluctant sale due to a change in lifestyle. Owes me well in excess of this. Aquatopia
Id be up for say half of the rock there. He's got 120kgs in total. That leaves another 60kg for anyone else.
Ira
I think it's a great idea in theory, the problem is dividing up the stuff so everyone feels they got a fair share. Especially if not everyone is going to be there in person. I mean, I'd be interested in putting in about $200-300, but then the only part I really would like is the skimmer. What if say pomereef thinks, "No way, the skimmer's worth way more than that!"
Aquatopia
Hey Ira - you can keep the skimmer, I just want my rock, lol..... (But i know what you are saying). We would have to assess values or percentages for each portion and then pay that percentage of the price. How about someone start by listing what they think each part is worth as a part of the whole? The rock can only be worth, say $50 - cos its a big risk taking on stuff from someone you dont know (JUST KIDDING  )

chimera
not a bad idea, i would be keen on the halide - but only at the right price duke - what you would need to do is throw the figures around - assuming you got it for $2k, and work out what each item would be worth. minchton
Reckon we would be starters. See a couple of corals that we like and would be interested in the fish. Only problem we foresee is what happens if we all want the same things and the buyer then gets left with the unsellable items. Apart from that good on you for coming up with an innovative idea Mitch
RnB
its called risk, and to take it you have to get a return.
Duke
I have spoken with someone who has seen the tank. Looks nothing likke the photo. basicly all you are getting is the hardware and a few fish. Coarls are basicly not there. Photo about 2yrs old. Still a good buy to a new person, tank is excellent as the skimmer etc etc
