Silverdollarboy2
I have noticed a small amount of mould on the driftwood in my native tank. Is this a problem that needs addressing?. Many thanks.
Caryl
Have you tried removing it? It may not grow back. If it is a relatively new tank still maturing conditions will change for it and it won't grow again.I think others have removed such mould and it has eventually given up. Did you boil the wood before use? That might kill the spores. Silverdollarboy2
Silverdollarboy2
Hi Caryl, I have not tried removing the mould. I will give it a go next water change (Saturday). It is a new tank. No I have not boiled it as it's quite big. Thanks
Adrienne
If its easy to get out give it a good rub. I suspect that if you leave it and it doesn't go away you will end up with algae growing on it (which you may or may not want) Silverdollarboy2
maxxi1
fish will start to eat it and it will go away - alot of people just rub it off during waterchanges
