Silverdollarboy2
I have been told that heart is bad for fish so I want to feed my fish prawns. I've tried every supermarket in Hawkes bay but I can't find any fresh prawns. :dunno: So we bought some frozen prawns that were raw but on the ingredients list it says: Prawns, Salt, Mineral salt and Water glaze. Will this be ok?
kiwiraka
Mammalian fat is the problem with heart, I imagine feeding heart to fish is like us eating fast-food. The salt will be fine, but I have no idea what the glazing would be... I dont imagine itd be anything too bad though... calculator
I feed my fish frozen prawns/shrimps, just need to be raw, NOT cooked. I just defrost, and rinse off before feeding to my fish.

alanmin4304
Rinse it in water to thaw it and the salt will go away. The glaze is a salt solution over the product when blast freezing it. It protects the product from freezer burn.
