camtang
I decided to try and grow some plants above one of my tanks, part of it is a trial for an aquapoincs system as well as for nitrate removal. I originally planted lettuce, 2 types of chilli, capsicum, cucumber, watermelon, mint, strawberry sand parsley. a couple weeks later and the lettuce is no more and the strawberry and parsley are not far off with capsicum a bit of hit and miss. However the chillies and watermelon are loving life. I bought two more dfferent chillies so will get them in tomorrow. I think the other plants have not handled the heat of the fish room. I will keep updating this to show my harvest. Day one Two weeks in
alexyay
Looking awesome  I found my Parsley and Lettuce both kicked the bucket pretty quickly. I think the Parsley didn't like the wet feet, the Lettuce leaves died whenever they hit the water so it would have needed a different setup to what I was providing. Mint is doing great (struggles without high light). Haven't gotten around to planting my Chillis or Tomato plants.
Adrienne
Plants like strawberry, tomatoes, courgette don't handle humidity so I can't ever imagine them handling the heat of a fish room, being so prone to mildew.
alanmin4304
I grew a lot of aquarium plants in a glasshouse and they grew well but the leaves were dry and the roots wet. These are plants that like wet roots but most that you are looking at like moist only. In a very humid setup you have a lot more problems than when the leaves are dry.
