cat
I am from the Palmerston North area. I used to belong to the Waikato Club and am about to join the Palmerston North Club. I have only just got my tanks up and going again after nearly two years without them. It is so nice to just sit and watch them for hours. Whatever did I do without them??? Arrrgggghhh ... yes ... housework etc I was told of this site from a gentleman I purchased a book of Trade Me and I am very glad he did. It is a wonderful site from what I have managed to get a look at and I am looking forward to spending more time looking around (even though I am supposed to working). Look forward to chatting with some of you good people some time.
Pegasus
Hi there Cat, Glad you found our friendly forum. Forget the housework... Think fish.... just fish I'm always on TradeMe buying something or other to do with fish.. Great site for bargains, if you get in at the right moment that is. Lock the Vac in the cupboard and tell us all about those fish of yours. One thing is for certain, you don't get bored when you start reading all these posts. Great to have you with us Cat. Caryl
Welcome Cat, What's housework? Fish are far more interesting. Good to hear you are planning to join the PN club. Hope to see you here often
cat
Thanks for the welcome. Nice to know people take an interest in what you have to say, even if it is nothing important. I think I bought the book of you Pegasus!
Pegasus
Hi Cat, Could have been a book the missus sold, but if it's the one I'm thinking of, then you are the lady who's son keeps Cichlids. We don't charge extra for Son's and Mum's, so why not let him join ? Real glad you decided to join up, and although some of the threads (posts) seem a bit tangled at first, you'll soon find your way around and the tangles will disappear Lots of great info here if you untangle the knots. It gets a bit confusing if an old thread is opened after being idle for a few weeks or months, but I'm sure you'll sort it out. My regards to your son Bill (Pegasus)
cat
Was only a few weeks ago and you didnt know about it!!! Was only me but my son does enjoy looking at the fish but at 18 he is more intertested in the other fish in the sea rather than tanks, if you know what I mean.
Pegasus
Hi Cat, He He... I remember. Be a few years before he gets over the "other fish" but at least he's looking at your's, which might spark his interest. Keep us informed about those eggs of yours. What sort of fish do you have in those tanks???? what is the size of the tanks and are they in your lounge or do you have a 'fish room'. Great to greet another fishy fanatic. Pegasus
Hi Cat, You is one addicted feline And here was I thinking you were new to all this and only had a few fish. Bigger house (or less furniture) seems a good deal With all that lot to look after it's a wonder you didn't find us sooner Regards, Bill (Pegasus)
cat
Like I said before .. I have only had the tanks up and going for a few months but we have spent every waking minute (when not working) at fish shops between Wellington and Wanganui!!! I have spent so much money. Wonder how long before they actually sell your house 'cause the mortgage aint been paid????? I dont have my computer working at home anymore (R.I.P) so am using the one at work and I have only just managed to get on the net for long enough to find you all (without being caught!) Can anyone provide me with any information/internary on the weekend in Napier? We are going to be up there for the weekend and we would really like to come along (hubby thought he was going away for a quiet weekend!!!). Who do I ring or where are people meeting etc so we can catch up. I remember how great it was going to the Napier club a few years ago and really enjoying the tank crawl, so would really enjoy catching up with people. Thanks
Caryl
Look under the General section for FNZAS Clubs then see the thread called Labour Weekend in Napier. All the details you need are in there. The auction is for club members only so you had better join the PN group fast! Andrew Broome (in this forum) is the contact for the PN club. Ira
I don't think they'll be that strict if you show up and aren't technically a club member yet.

I'll be home by the time you finish work and will take your money (since PNAS is without a treasurer again at the moment). You can trust me My cell phone is 025 6868773 and it looks like I *may* be able to be in Napier for the day on saturday afterall... Andrew. cat
I didnt think I would have too much hassle with someone wanting to take my money!! Thanks Andrew. Did you manage to find some accommodation or are you just going for the day?
cat
ps ... if you need a treasurer I could volunteer (if interested) I am very trustworthy ... really ... Seriously ... if you need any help, please let me know. The club is just coming out of recess so the more hands that can help it up and going the better. I would be annoyed to find it gone again as not many other clubs within easy drive/reach from me. (no offence to any other clubs but who wouldnt want to belong to the one closest?)
Caryl
A volunteer for club treasurer Andrew! Grab them quick!!!!!!! Introduce yourself at Napier Cat. Perhaps, during the pot luck tea, we can ask all those belonging to the Fishroom to raise their hands and we could meet each other.
cat
Excellent idea Caryl. I am sure people would all like to meet. You have an idea of how people should look based on their personality, conversations etc and I have never meet anyone that looks like I think they should  (I have a such a strange imagination) so unless you introduce yourself I will never pick you out from a crowd! ajbroome
Caryl said... > A volunteer for club treasurer Andrew! Grab them quick!!!!!!! This has been noted and recorded for later use ;-) Actually, Cat, the special AGM to sort things out is on October 30 at 3 Oriana Place in PN (off the bottom end of Tremaine Ave). Remind me this evening and I'll give you the appropriate bit of paper. > Introduce yourself at Napier Cat. Cat and I have, of course, already met. But, yes, it's a good idea for the Fishroom people to get together in Napier at some stage, it'll be the only chance before conference... Andrew. Caryl
You will recognise me Cat as I look just like my avatar! (minus the cloud, halo and wings of course)
cat
   I will look out for a wingless, haloless, cloudless angel then. Should be easy enough to spot you!
