Li@m
Im guessing there is a blanket ban on al importation of aquatic plants? Even tissue cultured plant?
reef
You can't get new fish added so plants will be impossible.
Li@m
Im not talking about new species, but existing ones.

alanmin4304
I think you can import plants that are approved but no one finds it worthwhile. Why would you import plants and go through all the drama if you can only import the plants that are already here.
reef
its a bit more to that as you will need a quarantine facility/permits etc. no one imports plants as cost can't be recovered. Especially these days as MPI sting you for every cent. They basically think they own you wallet.
alanmin4304
My point was that you can import if you are silly enough. I think you have to have a Q facility separate to fish as well. There is no point if you can only import plants that are already here.
reef
Sure would be pointless as no one would pay the price for them. We seems to have a good selection if you can find them.
Adrienne
Sure would be pointless as no one would pay the price for them. We seems to have a good selection if you can find them. The 'if you can find them' is a big thing. It seems near impossible to get people to 'share' plants that are hard to obtain, even if you offer big dollars for them. Such a shame, all it takes is a total tank disaster and they are lost literally forever.
