Silverdollarboy2
What kind of filter do you have ? The fins can get torn on it.

madfrog2000
Yeah I don't think so either. Another pink/red spot has appeared further up his body towards his head over the past week. I just have no idea what to do to fix it :dunno:

Adrienne
Can you take a photo during the day without a flash/torch on? Try putting a mirror up against the tank to get the fish to flare and then take the photo. Is the fish still eating? How is the fish behaving - is it swimming normally, is it hiding, lying on its side?
madfrog2000
Hey will try get better picture tomorrow for you. Yup fish still eating and swimming around as it normally would. I can't see any difference in behavior.
Trilobite
Could be this mystery disease that bettas sometimes get. Kills them pretty fast though like within 48 hours, so if your guy has had it for a while its probably not the mystery disease http://www.bettafish.com/showthread.php?t=90086

madfrog2000
Heater is at 25 degrees what would I do to stop that?
SanityChelle
You can buy heater guards that stop the fish from being able to touch it.
