I have decided to go for a marine temperate tank,390 L.

Two tunez 6100 wave makers

7095 contoler

100l ish sump

Reef octopus protein skimmer

tunze 2500 return pump

hailea 300a chiller

florescent lighting for now.

Tank was ment to be cycling but I am having to remive a lot of critters from the live rock I have added.

Herbie over flow

coast to coast overflow.

have not figured out how to post pics yet

Welcome aboard,

What critters are you removing from the live rock?

Yeah, having a variety of critters is one of the biggest advantages of a marine tank. Some people try to killor remove everything they can trying to make the tank as sterile as a FW tank.

Is the 'live rock' from the beach or coral rock from a marine tank?

you have started a new tank off with a bio load and very little bacteria to complete your nitrogen cycle

twice weekly 25% water changes will help to keep ammonia levels down for at least the next 2 months

the red crab will eat everything in there, the shrimp and cats eye snails will help to clean up uneaten food and algae

My tank is still alive. And not soup yet.

Can any one help with a good magnetic cleaner.

Brand?

And who sells them?

Cheers

MagFloats are awesome. Only one I have found so far that's worth the cash which is not cheap. Your LFs can order it for you.
