Insect Direct
I tried that though. That's when they re-classified me and charged me more also back dating it a couple of years. This from their website. "A self-employed person that works on average less than 30 hours per week is considered to be 'part time'. A 'part time' self-employed person pays a levy on their actual earnings, the deemed minimum earnings level does not apply." http://www.acc.co.nz/for-business/self- ... y/BUS00010
phoenix44
Sole traders are the simplest entity - free to set up as it's effectively a commercial form of a natural person. Most banks even offer a 12 month fee waiver on account fees. Tax and thus ACC is payable on the net earnings (if positive) of the entity. Adrienne
Update - Fair Go tonight just answered the question - what about animal breeders/pet breeders selling on trade me. Do they have to register? Answer Yes. If you are breeding to sell then yes.
