ss_boy86
or do you all use normal salt for your brine shrimp?
Sophia
I think that rock salt is already non-iodised. I use the rock salt that I got from HFF but I think it's all the same. The others will confirm soon no doubt...
alanmin4304
There is so little iodine in table salt that I would doubt that it would make any difference. Most have free running agents added as well and I don't think they make any difference either. I have used all sorts and they all work if you have temperature, light and water movement. Use fresh eggs or refrigerate if using from a can. I used to repack from a can into small plastic bags and refrigerate and they last a fair while.Seawater is pretty good as well and cheap. Adrienne
I use rock, tonic, or sea salt. Sea salt and rock salt I get from supermarket. Tonic from HFF Why don't you get hold of some 25 litre containers and go down to the sea and fill them up.
caserole
If using sea water I'd dilute it by 25%, for best results. Or you could just use ordinary NZ Plain salt, it's sea salt and works great.
JaSa
Hi Get a 25kg of "Fine AG-Salt" from RD1 or Farmlands for around $11.00. If they have a damaged bag you will get it most times for 1/2 price. Has got anticaking agent in it but seems to work for me ...
