perhaps you could try and build some mesh laying racks to simulate eggs suspended among plants?this would allow for better oxegen exchange around the whole egg and maybe improve hatchability?most of the wild spawn i have seen is pretty close to the surface?no signs of bad eggs or lack of fertility either?

is a good idea. not too worried about lack of hatch though as don't have the room for growing them on and suspect in the past overstocking to be the main cause of problems. if fertility good have a feeling they float initially? then sink - however at 25C they hatch in about two days so not much time for floating ...

Use to have plants and so on - however trying to eliminate snails and potential nasty's for now ... sterile nation is the way forward :lar:

was just worried about parasites coming from the snails .. starting to think just basic issues may of been overlooked and or possibly coupled with albino weaker than norm. :dunno:

tbh gave up on the frogs - last year let one lot spawn and spread around some troughs, as had done previously, but got a reasonable result although still some bent spines. will probably try again this summer.
