Zeusterae
Does anyone knows if this specie http://www.trademe.co.nz/pets-animals/f ... 105862.htm is in the country? Cheers.
si_sphinx
I haven't seen anyone with this fish in NZ before. Comparing them with the cichlid forum profile it is similar but not exactly the same. Colors and baring seems to be different. TM pic shows more yellow and duller baring with more bars. Cichlid Forum pic shows more of a darker fish with less and wider baring. :dunno: So the TM fish could be different from breeding so much and not the best quality or theres the possibility of it being a hybrid. Ira
It does look very much like a hybrid of an electric yellow and something else from the muddy coloring. I'd put my money on the guy flipping through pics and deciding, "Hey, this looks close, must be it!" when he just has some garbage mutts. scottscape
That sand is so white. As for the fish I dunno?
Rabbit
That is not a Flavus having bred and kept them they look nothing like that! Disgusting to think the seller knows they do not have what they claim.
camtang
Pure or hybrid, the fis in the pics are horible! On a side note my mate had some fish that looked similar, he was given them as hybrid muts the breeder had no idea what the two parents were but we suspected johanis and e yellows
Zeusterae
I thought that it wasnt a flavus but before say anything I wanted to know for sure that the specie wasnt in the country. Thanks, Cheers
smidey
Look a like a hybrid of a yellow and a blue zebra of some sort to me
ryanjury
Apparently Flavus used to be in the country, I haven't seen or heard of them being around lately though. I agree though the fish in the pictures t doesn't look right to me either. Usual story of someone getting some random mbuna and doing a google search and giving them an id based on some other random photos off the net would be my guess..
